Talent Buyer Assistant

Position Summary:
The Talent Buyer Assistant will support the Monqui Talent Buyers with the booking of shows and concerts. This position drafts and readies offers to be submitted to artist agents. This role also coordinates the date avails of both artists and venues creating and maintaining a calendar of holds for shows throughout the year.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
Assist Talent Buyers with the booking of events. Draft offers for artists based on instructions from Talent Buyers. Reach out to venues to place calendar holds and coordinate the availability to artists agents for all events booked by Monqui.

Submit offers to agents, following up to ensure they are received. Assist with costing and expenses on offers, including reaching out to venues for latest venue expenses and related venue costs and deals.

Maintain & update show files to include current deal, any updated information, special circumstances or other changes, including email notes that are pertinent to the settlement.

Oversee, manage and execute all show and venue contracts

Respond to agent with ticket counts or other basic agency queries

Answer Talent Buyer emails & respond to agents and venues, per Talent Buyer request

Return phone calls to agents and venues, per Talent Buyer request

Check and update artist history for Talent Buyers

Settle co-promotions with other promoters, when Monqui is not producing (with Talent Buyer oversight)

Responsible for various administrative tasks including checking contracts & revisions, when asked by Talent Buyers.

Support ticketing and marketing team as to accuracy of announce/on sale dates, ticket prices and other show related details such as show break-evens

Post show, report show settlement to agent. Internally, compare offer to band-settle and report back any notes, inconsistencies or expenses overruns. If necessary, update current offer sheets.

Required qualifications:
Knowledge of music industry preferred. 1+ years of related work experience a plus

Computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook a must

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task and work in fast paced ever changing environment

Highly organized and mistake free

Position Details:

Compensation: Hourly pay, DOE, 40 Hours per week.

Vacation: 40 Hours, after 3 months of employment

Health: Eligible for Monqui group plan, after 60 days of employment

401K: Eligible for Monqui retirement plan, after 1 year of employment
